They are crescent shaped stickers that you can place where you want. It also comes with pink, white, and clear nail polish, so you can decide what type of french tip to do. I did my own for my wedding and got tons of compliments. Cheap and Easy! Totally get the kit.

One way... you can buy a kit at the store with the white polish, the clearish tan polish, and clear polish and most come with little think sticky strips that you put on your nail and paint the white above it, then you wait til it dries, then take the strip off and you're done! Another way... There was a little kit i bought at the store and it had the polish and everything, but the white polish was a little white pen, which made it super easy to just brush it on the end of my nail and i had french tips just like that. Yet another way... If you don't want to go buy anything, you can just use tape. All you've gotta do is cut a little curve in a piece of tape then stick it on your nail, leaving space at the top for the nail polish. Unusual ideas... Instead of using white for your tips, try another color like blue, purple, red, or whatever color you want! OR instead of having the clearish tan color for your overall nail, paint your nail with any color then use one of the ideas above for the french tip part.
