How can my dog get to France?
I am moving to France this summer and can’t leave my dog behind, but the airlines have temperature restrictions. I can’t afford to take a cargo or cruise ship, either. Can I ship her by some other safe means? Should I wait until cool weather hits to move? I would appreciate any helpful suggestions.
I reccomemd waiting until the weather cools down slightly then you can pt her in the carrier and instead of water ,fill her bowl with ice(it will melt later on in the flight that way it won’t spill on take off.)
well, short of some crazy cartoon adventure, you will have to ship him or charter an independant plane that will do it
Claim your dog is essential for your emotional well-being and you have to have it with you when you travel. This is how many of today’s celebrities manage to get their pets on board with them (although you may have to pay for a seat for them)
Have you got him a ‘Pet Passport’? Do you need a ‘Pet Passport’
Animals are commonly tramsported via air, I think they have a special compartment for live cargo….try another airline
Shipping is not the only concern. Most countries now require you to have your pet microchipped and self-quarantined for six months prior to entering the country. You need to visit France’s immigration website to find out for sure.
That is such a pain in the arse.
Honestly, I would help her find a new home.
You will have a heck of a time getting her back to this country. And France might have some serious restrictions on importing animals.
All of this is also going to cost a fortune.
