How do french women care for their hair?

Ok, so I love france and anything to do with it. I noticed that French women celebrate thier hair texture, their hair rarely flat ironed, curled or blow dried. Even if their hair is curly like mine. I am afircan and even women over there with same or similar ethnicity have amazing protected, well- cared for hair. I was hoping you could give me tips about how to wash my hair, what time is best to wash it, how to keep it at night, how to wear curly hair during the day and what products to use.
