How much would I day trip to Paris from the UK cost approx?
Hi there.
I was just wondering if anyone had an idea of prices of a day trip to Paris per person.
This includes travel from the Eurostar station, to any I’d need in Paris, also site seeing options aswell as general food prices.
Please bare in mind my friend extends from ‘Bonjour’ to ‘Avouir’

The cost can vary dramatically on how you travel (which method of transport), from where in the UK, when you book (which month of the year) and how far in advance you book (the more in advance the cheaper generally)
By coach it’s pretty cheap throughout the year but the journey time is long e.g. There are are fares of 12quid in May one way but the journey time being from 6.5-10hrs pretty much rules out using this for a day return http://www.eurolines.co.uk
By plane there are still return flights in May/June for the 50 quid mark e.g. with Easyjet on the 19/May leaving 06:00 and returning 21:50 and this takes only 1hr 20mins, but you will have to get from the airport to the centre by metro (cheap enough) http://www.skyscanner.com
By train is the easiest route because it brings you right into Gare de Nord . There is a deal for £69 return being offered but then it’s a case of finding the right dates for this http://www.eurostar.com/UK/uk/leisure/latest_deals/lbbd/lbbd3.jsp and realistically that means August earliest. It’s only 2hrs 25mins travel time so perfect for a day trip

Costs in Paris? Well it’s a couple of years now since I last visited but it is pretty much comparable to the costs in London, so if you bank on this for drinks, food etc then you don’t go far wrong.
