Is it alright to refer to the Louvre and Tuileries complex as Chateau du Louvre-Tuileries?

In the past the complex was refered to as Louvre-Tuileries, but is there also another way as I asked above?

  1. Laurence says:

The two were built separately, then subsequent construction linked them. However, Napoleon III used the Tuileries section as his palace and after he surrendered to the Prussians at the Battle of Sedan in 1870, an angry mob burnt down the Tuileries, so we have its gardens but no palace. If you are writing in English, I would have thought "the Louvre-Tuileries complex" would be adequate. If you are writing in French, why not Le Louvre et Tuileries?.
