I was not born in France (or, a DOM), and my mother does not hold her French citizenship, but we both speak french fluently and can trace our lineages back to other family residing in Nice and Aix-en-Provence. So, do I have any way of claiming french citizenship at all? Or do I have to go through the process of naturalization?</p>
