What is France doing tomorrow that everyone is so scared about?

I just saw a question asking if the world is going to end tomorrow, some of the answer talked about something France is going to do tomorrow. So my question is what are they going to do that could possibly end the world?
Thanks!

The Large Hadron Collider is a 27-kilometre long circular particle accelerator at the CERN experimental facility near Geneva which will smash protons into each other at unimaginable speeds trying to replicate in miniature the events of the Big Bang.

If the theories are correct, the machine will create tiny Black Holes that evaporate and possibly even find particles that offer evidence that the three dimensions known to mankind are just a fraction of those that actually exist.

With all new large jumps in technology the doomsayers appear and today they spout worries that by adventuring into the unknown and creating tiny Black Holes, the machine could even threaten to destroy the planet. The probability of that is at the level of 10 to the minus 40!!!

Professor Stephen Hawking has said that without this experiment man may be doomed to die through not learning enough to enable mankind to learn the science to be able to live in space and move to other planets when this Earth is eventually threatened!!

yes it is true. Read this:

but don’t worry the world isn’t going to end tomorrow

They’re going to fire a sort of laser beam using protons instead of photons and smash them into each other at nearly the speed of light which could cause a bang on a cosmic scale and blow the galaxy up.

    edit: only kidding

They have come to the conclusion that the population ‘must’ learn to speak English.
A bit like the Quebecians really!

    Well, no not like Quebec!

well they along with other countrys spent 9 BILLION dollars on a huge 15 mile circle machine so they can collide particles so we will know or possibly know what it was like 1 millionith a second after the big bang?,it wont help rebuild any natural disater zone, wont feed anyone, wont help education systems, wont help with aids or cancer research……….its a big f-ing expensive TOY,who reay cares and how will it help our dying war torn world it wont but hey we will know some stupid crap that in the end will benifit no one…….

  6. Robert Hawkins says:

Scientists will use an atom smasher to simulate the first few seconds after the big bang. It is not going to destroy the Earth as the fear mongers would have you believe. This type of fear & paranoia comes from a complete lack of understanding of what’s really being attempted. See the link below for clarity of the experiment.
